Our Library

The IHC Library is free to use and open to anyone living in New Zealand.   It's a great source of information for everybody and has information on all aspects of intellectual disability, autism and other developmental disabilities built up over many years.

The library is located on level 14 of National Office and open to the public from 8am to 5pm on weekdays.  Find out more about what the library has to offer by clicking here.

The library is regularly getting new books all the time.  You can check out updates on the new books by clicking here.

IHC Timelines

As you IHC have been putting Timelines documenting IHC's history over the last 70 years.  These are a great resource and full of information.  Not all of these have been released yet but we will be launching these over the coming months.

If you would like to contribution to the Timelines or have any edits, please contact Lily Wilson at lily.wilson@ihc.org.nz.

Stand Tall

Stand Tall is a free budgeting game that teaches people with intellectual disability how to manage their money.  People can choose where to focus their finances and learn how to live independently.

There are bills to pay, food and travel to budget for, plus loads of fun things to spend their money on. Get it right and their happiness will soar, but spend too much and they will have a financial headache!

Two more levels of the game are to come, with the first of those, level three due in April 2023.

Stand Tall is now freely available for anyone to download. The link is below:
